Traumhafter Törn durch den platanengesäumten Canal du Midi

Zwei Geständnisse gleich zu Beginn: Ich liebe Frankreich, eigentlich alles Französische – und das nun schon seit über 30 Jahren! Und ich bin leidenschaftlicher Kanal-Fan! Das erklärt vielleicht, warum meine Frau Lesley und ich unser “bequemes Leben” in London und unseren Liegeplatz in Tring am Grand-Union-Kanal aufgaben und im Oktober 1988 mit unserem Schiff nach Calais kamen. Das war zehn Jahre nachdem wir das erste Mal als Urlauber auf Frankreichs Kanälen unterwegs gewesen waren.
